#1 - Blobfish

Scientists recently discovered a new undersea creature called the blobfish. Nature’s ugliest animal, officially known as the Psychrolutes marcidus, lives somewhere around 9,000 feet underwater, off the coasts of Australia and Tasmania.
It was first photographed a few years ago by robotic submarines, but its enjoying a recent renaissance of attention, due mainly to the fact that it’s so entertainingly horrible looking.
